The followin Indoor Houseplants can Beat Your Air Freshener in the fragrance they produce and they are healthier to use than the artificially scented air fresheners
The Scented Geraniums
Perfume-leaved members of the genus Pelargonium. Varieties are available with fragrances reminiscent of apple, coconut, lemon, rose, cinnamon, and dozens of other scents. Scented geraniums also have attractive leaves with interesting shapes ranging from rounded to crinkled to deeply divided. Some of them give off fragrances that smell like orange, nutmeg and even chocolate.
Basil
This herb comes in scented varieties like lime or lemon. It can also be used to make recipes. Will make your kitchen smell like there’s something good being cooked in there at all times
Mint
Mint gives off a potent, clean and fresh scent. It is mostly used in bathroom and kitchen spaces. You won’t be waiting long for fresh, delicious mint, however. It grows just fine inside, and a planter of it in your kitchen will do wonders to freshen up the air — just like your breath.
Lavender
Lavender is a favorite herb of a lot of gardeners, and for good reason. Its soothing color and fragrance can pervade your garden when fresh and your home when dried. Few can resist its charms. This beautiful herb gives off a divine scent. Its fragrance is deep and can last for a very long time
Anise Hyssop
The leaves and flowers of this plant give off the exact smell of licorice; nearly evergreen, smooth, slender leaves are pointed and opposite, with an aroma that is reminiscent of camphor and mint. The penetrating but light flavor is a cross between rosemary and savory; it is good for use in the home also because the leaves are edible. You don’t have to be worried about the kids.
